FREE Birth Plan Guide
Hey Jenn hopes this story helps other moms :)

At 13 weeks I started to have bleeding and large sacks of blood come out. Went to the ER twice and was given the diagnosis: threatening miscarriage. Got Covid at 25 weeks with mild symptoms, baby was ok but still a little bit of bleeding. Rupture membrane at 27 weeks admitted to hospital and was given many antibiotics to prevent infection. Did not have any allergies prior to this but found out I am allergic to penicillin, got an infection and Zoey breeched so the doctor advised to go in and do a c section.
Zoey was born 11-25-20, 3 mos prior to 2-24-21 due date and weighed 2.05 lbs
At the beginning, I pumped a lot during my four day stay at the hospital so ai managed to store a lot in NICU freezer. Zoey started to receive my milk through feeding tube early on. Overall no complications until a few days prior to her discharge her blood pressure was low and she given medication which helped. She was discharged 9 days prior to her due date. During her stay I visit her 2 times a day to attempt in increasing my supply but could not keep up due to lack of sleep, stress and lack of time with Zoey. I felt a disconnect with her in the beginning. Seeing her in the incubator and attached to all those machines for me it was easier to disconnect because I could not hold her like I wanted to or put her to my breast to feed. I knew I loved her but did not feel close to her, I believe that block effected my supply.
After she got home there was some adjustment that was hard, especially sleep but overall happy. She has adjusted, and she is a very healthy baby. She has some developmental challenges since she is a preemie but she definitely strides to overcome every challenge. Definitely a miracle baby full of power and resilience
